UK FSA: Inconsistency on behaviour and anxiety
Speaking on behalf of the UK’s Food Standards Agency, Frances Hill said that it agreed broadly with the findings but that it was unclear why more specific groups had not been considered and that behaviour and anxiety had been dealt with “inconsistently” in the opinion.
She added that greater emphasis on genetic factors effecting caffeine sensitivity could be useful and that the sensitivity of an infant breast feeding from a mother who had consumed caffeine had not been taken into account.
