“Frequent, brand-savvy wine drinkers who view wine as an enjoyable treat.” They make up the largest segment of the US wine drinking population (28%) and account for 33% of the total wine spend.
Three out of four of this price conscious group drink wine several times a week and are proverbial middle Americans, with no strong biases in terms of age, gender, income or region of residence. California wines dominate the repertoire here, with Italy the second choice.
