DRINKTEC 2013: LIVE FROM THE SHOW FLOOR
5.Non-alcoholic fermented drinks
At Drinktec Döhler showcased its non-alcoholic fermented drink bases – made from malt, fruit juices or tea – with a “refreshing, slightly tart and less sweet taste profile and valuable components such as wholesome gluconic acid”.
Such bases can feature in drinks such as Russia’s kvass, Chinese kombucha and Turkish hardaliye, or ‘brewed citrus soda’ fassbrause drinks. Here WILD notes new German flavour trends including passion fruit or apple.
According to WILD Flavors: “Non-alcoholic malt beverages are extremely promising for breweries as well as producers of soft drinks.”
