In a year defined by a global pandemic, Coca-Cola’s Share a Coke campaign is dedicated to ‘holiday heroes’ – those who have gone the extra mile by dedicating time, energy and attention to their friends, families and communities.

Launched today, the 40+ monikers are dedicated to everyone from nurses and teachers to moms and grandparents.

“For 100 years, Coca-Cola has been known for bringing magic and cheer to the Christmas holiday,” says Coca-Cola. “Now, alongside its iconic Santa and polar bears, Coca-Cola is celebrating the season by putting the spotlight on everyday heroes. Coca-Cola wants to help people feel connected, and to celebrate friends, family and people in the community who deserve an extra special gift of things – especially in an unprecedented year”.

The new Holiday Heroes themed ‘Share a Coke’ bottles are available across the US this month in 20oz or 24oz PET bottles of Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, available while stocks last.

Coca-Cola first launched its Share a Coke campaign in Australia in 2011, printing the 150 most popular names on bottles. It has since been adopted on a large scale around the globe.

The campaign has taken on a number of new twists since its launch: such as the US’ 2016 ‘Share a Coke and a Song’ campaign (with popular song lyrics printed on Coke bottles) and printing holiday destinations on bottles in the UK in 2017.

The Holiday Heroes Themed ‘Share A Coke’ bottles will encompass a wide variety of everyday heroes including: Caregiver, Educator, Neighbor, Assistant, Coach, Your Daughter, Doctor, Donor, Expert, Essentials, Friend, Giver, Humanitarians, Your Love, Mom, A Penpal, A Server, Your Sister, Your Son, The Staff, A Supporter, Family, Friends, The Team, A Partner, Tu Mamá, Tu Papá, El Favorito, El Ganador.

In-store, there will be 40+ different monikers to choose from on 20oz and 24oz PET bottles, and on CokeStore.com, fans can add a custom moniker to an 8oz glass bottle.
