Jonathan Morgan, Princes Gate Spring Water, Wales
Morgan (not in this picture) began working for Princes Gate after completing a BTEC National Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering along with a Key Skill Certificate in IT.
He learnt about the position through the ‘Jobs Growth Wales’ scheme which targets young people struggling to break into employment.
Jonathan decided an apprenticeship was the best route into engineering for him as it enabled him to develop essential skills while being supported throughout the training.
Now, having completed his probationary and initial training period, Jonathan is a full-time engineer with Princes Gate (MD David Jones is pictured, second from right) and the firm is keen to further his development, as he works towards an HNC within the next three years.
Morgan said: “I am so grateful I was given the opportunity to follow my ambition especially because it’s difficult to find employers who will take the chance and train people up. I’m enjoying my time here and I’m learning more every day.”
Another Princes Gate apprentice, Corbin Moran, is pictured here (second left).
