The Krones chairman said there is a definite upturn in the market but he expects that the beverage industry will not get reach the record growth levels of 2008 for at least another two years.
Krones released several new pieces of beverage filling, labelling and brewing equipment at the show, and Kroneseder also spoke about developmental work at subsidiary Kosme, which is focused on providing affordable, higher-end technology for the mid tier brewing sector.
Last month, Krones reported that during the period from January to September 2010, sales rose by 16.1 per cent to reach €1,583m, and that at the end of September, the order backlog, at €923.2m, was €35.4m up on a like-for-like basis.
And, with an equity ratio of almost 39 per cent and net liquidity of €60.4m on 30 September, Krones claims its financial and capital structure continues to be very comfortable, and constitute a healthy foundation for further growth.
