Danish bars reportedly risk running short of Carlsberg draught beer due to a strike at a brewery in the country according to Bloomberg.

Spokesman Jens Bekke - who we were unable to contact at short notice for comment - told the news agency that Frederica produces all of Carlsberg's Danish draught beer and controls around 70% of the nation's beer market.

But a walk-out on August 14 by 130 out of 800 has halted production, he explained, while soft drink manufacture is also effected; Carlsberg hopes the staff will soon return to work.

Bekke told Bloomberg that Carlsberg held around one week's stock of draught beers and customers normally held one or two weeks, but that some affected products could be replaced with beer in bottles.
