Pepsi Bottling Group, the world's largest bottler of Pepsi-Cola drinks, said on Wednesday it plans to buy family-owned Kitchener Beverages of Ontario, further expanding its presence in Canada.

Terms of the deal, which is expected to close in the next month, were not disclosed.

Kitchener, based in Kitchener, Ontario, operates one warehouse and employs about 65 people. It serves customers in towns such as Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Stratford and Fergus, Pepsi Bottling said in a statement.

The deal marks Somers, New York-based Pepsi Bottling's latest in a string of international acquisitions. In July, Pepsi Bottling Group finalised its purchase of Canadian bottler Seaman's Beverages, located in the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island. The company is also in the process of buying Mexico's Pepsi-Gemex. It also bought Turkish Pepsi bottler Fruko earlier this year.
