Functional RTDs, superfood powders, premium whisky and kombucha collaborations. It’s all here in the latest beverage launches

Premiumisation continues to shape beverage innovation, with manufacturers investing in limited editions, aged spirits and provenance-led products that offer consumers distinctive stories and higher-value drinking experiences.

Whisky brands in particular are exploring new flavour territories while maintaining a focus on craftsmanship and collectability.

Functionality and wellness remain influential trends across both alcoholic and non-alcoholic categories. From superfood powders and electrolyte-enhanced RTDs to kombucha made with carefully sourced ingredients, brands are increasingly linking refreshment with broader lifestyle benefits.

Collaborations are also playing a growing role in new product development. Partnerships between drinks companies, retailers, growers, cultural institutions and hospitality operators are helping brands create differentiated offerings and reach new consumer audiences.

At the same time, seasonal launches and flavour exploration continue to drive excitement across the market. Tropical fruits, tea-based drinks, premium cider, craft beer and global whisky blends all feature in this latest round-up of product launches.

Momo Watermelon

Momo Kombucha has launched a seasonal Watermelon Kombucha in collaboration with Natoora, available through UK retailers Ocado, Selfridges, Whole Foods Market, GAIL’s Bakeries, Planet Organic, Zapp, Natoora and direct-to-consumer.

The limited-edition kombucha blends Momo’s raw fermented tea with Sentinel watermelon sourced through Natoora from grower Oscar Zerbinati in Mantua, Northern Italy. Retailing from £4.50 per 330ml glass bottle, the launch adds to Momo’s programme of seasonal and collaborative releases.

The watermelon used in the drink is grown using methods designed to concentrate flavour, with growers limiting each plant to a single fruit and carefully managing water intake. According to the companies, the result is a watermelon with dense, sweet flesh that complements the tart, lightly sparkling profile of kombucha. The product is positioned as a summer soft drink for occasions such as picnics and barbecues, while also highlighting provenance and ingredient quality.

The partnership also supports Natoora’s Farm Fund, which backs young farmers using agroecological practices. For Momo, the launch builds on previous collaborations with brands and organisations including Ganni, Orbit Beers, Caravan Coffee Roasters and Tate Modern.

Crafty Brewing has launched an officially licensed English Heritage drinks range, with a proportion of proceeds from every purchase supporting the conservation of more than 400 historic sites across England.

The three-SKU range includes Castle Stone Session IPA, Solstice Sunset Craft Lager and Abbey Orchard Craft Cider, each inspired by a landmark associated with the charity and developed for retail, hospitality and heritage channels.

The range combines premium beer and cider with English Heritage branding and storytelling centred on sites including Dover Castle, Stonehenge and Rievaulx Abbey. Castle Stone IPA (4.2% ABV) is positioned as a pale, easy-drinking IPA with citrus and tropical fruit notes, while Solstice Sunset Lager (4.4% ABV) is a crisp pilsner-style lager with floral hop character and a dry finish. Abbey Orchard Cider (4.6% ABV) offers a fruit-forward profile with fresh apple aromas, gentle sweetness and a balanced finish.

According to founder Luke Herman, the partnership aims to connect great British brewing with England’s heritage while creating an additional funding stream for conservation work.

The Macallan has completed its six-year Harmony Collection series with the launch of two limited-edition single malt Scotch whiskies inspired by fresh and toasted coconut.

The final release comprises Inspired by Fresh Coconut and Inspired by Toasted Coconut, with both expressions showcasing a flavour profile rarely associated with The Macallan through a combination of cask selection and maturation expertise.

Developed by The Macallan Whisky Mastery team, the whiskies are matured in a mix of sherry-seasoned American oak casks and ex-bourbon casks, which help draw out naturally occurring coconut notes while maintaining balance and complexity.

Inspired by Fresh Coconut (46.3% ABV) delivers flavours of coconut, citrus and tropical fruits layered with vanilla and sweet oak, while Inspired by Toasted Coconut (43.3% ABV) offers a richer profile featuring toasted coconut, crème caramel, white chocolate and charred pineapple. The toasted expression will be exclusive to global travel retail, while the fresh variant is available through The Macallan website and estate boutique.

Both expressions have an SRP of $185 and mark the concluding chapter of a series that has previously featured collaborations with Cirque du Soleil, Stella and Mary McCartney, and Jing Tea.

Minute Maid Spiked has expanded its alcohol ready-to-drink portfolio with the launch of Vodka Lemonade Iced Tea, a new vodka-based beverage combining lemonade and iced tea flavours.

Rolling out across the US this summer, the launch builds on the brand’s existing vodka lemonade range and reflects ongoing demand for familiar, easy-drinking flavour combinations within the growing RTD alcohol category.

Made with real vodka and 3% lemon juice, the still beverage is packaged at 5% ABV and positioned for outdoor and social occasions. The launch gives retailers an additional option within the flavoured vodka RTD segment, while broadening the Minute Maid Spiked range beyond its existing Vodka Lemonade and Vodka Punch offerings. The company says the product was developed to deliver a straightforward, recognisable flavour profile that combines bright lemonade notes with refreshing iced tea.

The product is available nationwide in an eight-pack of 12oz cans with a suggested retail price of $16.99, alongside a 16oz single-can format priced at $3.49.

Minute Maid Spiked, part of the Red Tree Beverages portfolio, continues to build out its RTD range across both vodka-based and wine-based products, which includes flavours such as Lime Margarita, Strawberry Daiquiri, Piña Colada and Blue Hawaiian.

Ascênda Tequila has officially launched across Florida, Texas and Arizona, combining a premium sipping tequila with a functional ready-to-drink tequila soda range aimed at consumers seeking both quality and wellness-minded credentials.

Founded by former Lalo Tequila executive Tyler Piluzza, the new brand is positioning itself at the intersection of authentic tequila production and the growing demand for cleaner-label alcoholic beverages.

The ready-to-drink (RTD) range, Ascênda Tequila Soda, is made with Ascênda tequila, high-pH sparkling water and electrolytes including magnesium, sodium and potassium. Free from sugar, fillers and other added ingredients, the product is designed to appeal to consumers looking for a more mindful drinking occasion while maintaining the flavour profile of a premium tequila-based beverage. The launch taps into wider trends around functionality and better-for-you alcohol alternatives within the RTD category.

The RTD range carries an SRP of $22.49, while the tequila is available at $49.99 for a 750ml bottle and $54.99 for a one-litre format. In addition to its initial distribution footprint, Ascênda products are available nationwide in the US through online retailer Sip Tequila.

That Boutique-y Whisky Company has unveiled a new 21-year-old World Whisky Blend as the flagship release in its latest Summertime Specials collection.

The limited-edition blend builds on one of the independent bottler’s most recognisable expressions, combining whiskies from Scotland, Ireland, Canada and Japan and maturing them in sherry casks to create a more mature interpretation of the original World Whisky Blend concept.

Designed to showcase how different whisky styles can work together, the expression offers a globally inspired flavour profile while retaining the versatility that made the original release popular. The whisky is presented with label artwork by Glasgow-based illustrator Emily Chappell, depicting the brand’s signature globe motif as a melting ice sphere.

Only 475 bottles are available, with an RRP of £74.95. According to Head of Whisky Sam Simmons, the blend contains whiskies significantly older than its stated age, although details of the oldest component remain undisclosed.

The 21YO release leads a wider seven-bottle summer collection that includes a 17YO Bowmore, 12YO Inchgower, 12YO Clynelish and a 35YO Girvan single grain whisky, alongside natural cask strength versions of the Inchgower and Clynelish.

All are non-chill filtered, naturally coloured and bottled at 45.8% ABV unless otherwise stated. For the first time, the company has also partnered with Drinks by the Dram on a Master of Malt-exclusive tasting set featuring 30ml samples of the five core Summertime Specials expressions, priced at £32.95.
