Flora is the editor of FoodNavigator, shaping the title’s editorial direction and reporting on what’s driving change in the food and beverage industry. With over ten years of journalism experience, she brings deep expertise in food tech, health and nutrition, EU regulation and sustainability. She has interviewed senior figures including the UN Food and Agriculture Organization’s head of climate change and top executives at global food and drink companies. Her reporting has taken her to Thailand to investigate palm oil production, Norway for seafood farming, Senegal for acacia gum harvesting, and Italy for parmesan production. In France, she was among the first journalists worldwide to try cultivated meat, before it received the regulatory greenlight. Flora regularly hosts and moderates high-level discussions at industry events. Her expertise is often sought by broadcasters such as the BBC, where she has provided commentary on EU regulation and the plant-based sector. She has also been interviewed on stage at Lumina Intelligence’s Food Strategy Forum to share insights on emerging food trends, and contributes her perspective as a judge for the Global Future Food Awards. She has also curated and led FoodNavigator’s flagship events, including Climate Smart Food and Positive Nutrition. Flora is fluent in French and has translated for Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse in Restaurant Magazine. She has lived in Australia and France, and now resides in the UK. She holds a Master’s degree from the University of Melbourne.
