Azucarera Ebro, the Spanish food group, and its compatriot Intermalta, a malt producer, have created a new company called Maltacarrion which will specialise in the production of malt for the brewing industry.

Lutein for clear beverages gets safety approval
A technology that allows the health ingredient lutein to be delivered to clear beverages has been given GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) status from the US Food and Drug Administration.
