The deal follows Damm’s recent acquisition of the Old Speckled Hen beer brands from Greene King.
Under the new partnership, Damm will support Dalston’s Soda Co across production, distribution and commercial infrastructure to accelerate the soft drinks brand growth across on-trade and off-trade channels.
Dalston’s production will eventually move to the Damm Eagle Brewery, where there is increased production capacity to support volume growth and national distribution.
The partnership is part of Damm’s Accelerator Programme, which is designed to support fledgling beverage brands that demonstrate growth potential with manufacturing, innovation and distribution capabilities.
The Spanish drinks producer, known for its Estrella Damm lager, recently revealed it is initiating a new growth phase to double revenue by 2030 by continuing with its international and diversification strategy.
Luke White, Managing Director at Damm UK, said: “We are excited to welcome Dalston’s as our first soft drinks partner which is well aligned with Damm’s premium offering that centres around craftsmanship, excellent ingredients and outstanding quality. We look forward to seeing Dalston’s flourish as we work together to help support its growth in the UK and beyond.”
Dalston’s Soda founder Duncan O’Brien said it was “mind-blowing” to partner with Damm.
“It’s a huge vote of confidence in what we’ve built, and we’re thrilled at the growth potential that working with the Damm team brings,” he said.
Giles Brook, Chairman of Dalston’s Soda Co, said that the partnership would play a “significant role” in Damm’s ambitions to broaden its total beverage offering.
“We believe this partnership represents a hugely exciting opportunity to accelerate Dalston’s growth and unlock the brand’s full potential,” he said.
The UK is one of Damm’s strategic growth markets.
It has continued development of The Damm Eagle Brewery in Bedford, where Damm has invested more than €80 million (£70 million) in recent years to increase production capacity, introduce new manufacturing lines and increase capabilities in alcohol-free beverages and soft drinks.
