Braun is already a familiar face to many: having served as the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since January.
But he’s also a 30-year veteran of the company, having joined the company in Atlanta in 1996 as a trainee in global engineering.
After rising through the ranks, he’s held roles around the globe: including Brazil and China.
Crucially, he’s been involved in many different functions that support the integral operations of Coca-Cola’s global complex global network.
His experience has covered the nitty gritty of the business: such as supply chain and bottling operations (The Coca-Cola Company works with its bottlers around the world in a unique system that enables global scale).
But he’s also been heavily involved in new business development, marketing and innovation.

As chief operating officer, he’s already completely familiar with The Coca-Cola Company: playing a critical role in shaping and executing strategy and overseeing daily administrative and operational functions of the business.
He knows the delicate balance Coca-Cola has to find between its 139-year legacy and the modern realities of today’s market place: where consumers demand new ideas and better-for-you products.
Nowhere was this more evident than in the company’s most recent earnings call in October, where he highlighted the continued strength of brands such as Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Diet Coke; alongside the launches for loyal consumers like Retro Diet Coke with Cherry and Retro Diet Coke with Lime.
“While our strategy continues to deliver, the world around us is changing,” he told investors.
“As we have done throughout our history, we will continue to evolve to capture the full potential of our system. Together with our bottling partners, we’re leveraging capabilities to deepen consumer connections, build on brands and execute with excellence. Digital platforms are helping us to connect the dots across our system, enabling better experiences for our consumers and customers.
“As we adapt, we will enhance the way we work to move faster and with greater precision. We will become even more consumer-centric to drive enduring growth for our system and industry.
“I’m encouraged by the energy across the network. We are learning fast, pushing boundaries and unlocking new opportunities to deliver for the long term.”
Braun, 57, is an American citizen who was born in California and raised in Brazil.
