From functional hydration to innovation in juice, we take a look at some of the new beverage launches around the globe

Beverage innovation plays a vital role in shaping the future of the industry, responding to shifting consumer preferences, and driving sustainable growth.

As health and wellness trends continue to influence purchasing decisions, brands must evolve to meet demand for functional, low-sugar, and clean-label drinks. Innovation allows companies to introduce new ingredients, formats, and benefits that align with modern lifestyles.

In a competitive market, differentiation is key. Unique flavor profiles, packaging formats, and brand experiences help products stand out on crowded shelves and in digital marketplaces. Innovation also enables brands to tap into emerging trends like mood-enhancing beverages, hydration-focused formulations, and personalized nutrition.

Ultimately, beverage innovation is about creating value: delivering better taste, functionality, and purpose. It ensures brands remain relevant, responsive, and resilient in a fast-changing world, while offering consumers exciting new ways to hydrate, energize, and enjoy.

Functional hydration brand Más+ by Messi, co-founded by global football icon Leo Messi, has expanded its beverage portfolio with the launch of Greatest Grape: a sweet and tangy grape-flavored drink designed for everyday hydration.

The new SKU is now available nationwide at Walmart in 16.9oz bottles and 12-packs, with further retail expansion planned later this year.

Inspired by the rising “newstalgia” trend (where classic flavors are reimagined for modern consumers) Greatest Grape delivers a bold grape aroma and refreshing taste, without artificial sweeteners, colors, or caffeine. Each bottle contains just 10 calories and 1g of cane sugar, aligning with growing demand for low-sugar, clean-label hydration options.

Formulated with a proprietary blend of electrolytes, minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants, the drink supports active lifestyles and appeals to health-conscious consumers seeking functional benefits without compromising on flavor.

“Más+ by Messi is raising the bar with Greatest Grape,” said Rishi Daing, EVP of Más+ Next Generation Beverage Co. “It’s the perfect addition to lunchboxes, after-school snacks, or daily hydration routines.”

The launch marks the brand’s first flavor innovation since its debut in June 2024, joining existing SKUs like Miami Punch, Limón Lime League, Berry Copa Crush, and Orange d’Or. Each are named after milestones in Messi’s legendary career.

Más+ by Messi distribution spans Walmart, Albertsons, Safeway, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Amazon.

Manatee Coffee, Florida’s original “coffee with a cause,” has expanded its organic coffee portfolio with two new Swiss Water decaffeinated offerings: Eco Brew and Coastal Reserve.

Both blends are crafted using the chemical-free Swiss Water Process, which preserves flavor while gently removing caffeine. Eco Brew delivers a smooth, medium roast with notes of chocolate, toasted nut, and floral, while Coastal Reserve offers a bold, dark roast profile with smoky plum and rich chocolate.

Certified USDA Organic and low in acidity, the new decafs mirror the flavor of their caffeinated counterparts and reflect Manatee Coffee’s commitment to sustainability, clean ingredients, and marine conservation. Each bag sold contributes to protecting Florida’s coastal ecosystems, with over $84,000 donated to organizations like Save the Manatee Club, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and Mote Marine Laboratory.

The launch follows the brand’s recent release of caffeinated Eco Brew and Coastal Reserve blends, further solidifying Manatee Coffee’s position in the organic, eco-conscious coffee category.
