From healthy greens to grape fizz ale, we take a look at some of the new beverages launching around the globe

Beverage innovation is important. It’s what keeps the industry evolving and developing. But how to choose where to innovate and what to explore?

Our weekly round-up of NPD is here to inspire. This week we look at what’s happening in the juice aisle, wellness shots and soda; as well as looking at alcohol with RTD cocktails and beer.

Sunrise Greens

Sunrise Greens (Suja Juice)

Organic, non-GMO cold-pressed juice brand, Suja Organic, has launched Sunrise Greens: ‘the newest green juice addition to Suja’s functional beverage portfolio that doesn’t taste like green juice’.

With all the greens and benefits, it’s designed as a substitute for a daily glass of organic juice, combining a little sweet and a lot of greens to kickstart the morning on a nutritious note.

Sunrise Greens contains one and a half servings of fruits and vegetables, including apple, cucumber, spinach, lemon, and more, providing an excellent source of Vitamin C. Made with nine different superfood ingredients like spirulina, green chard, and collard greens, this juice is an easy, tasty way to get a healthy dose of greens without the earthiness often found in traditional green juices.

Farm to bottle in as little as eight days, each bottle of Sunrise Greens, and all Suja Organic products, starts with locally-sourced, whole organic produce, and zero artificial ingredients, concentrates, or fillers. All Sunrise Greens ingredients are 100% USDA Organic, Cold Pressed to preserve nutrient value, Non-GMO Project Verified, without any added sugar or artificial ingredients.

Spicy soda

Picoso soda
Picoso (Picoso soda)

Picoso wants to give the ‘mundane mixer market’ a kick with its brand new premium spicy soda brand.

Picoso (the Spanish word for ‘Spicy’, reflective of its brand origins in Mexico where much of their flavor inspiration comes from) also serves as an alcohol-free option for people moderating their alcohol intake.

One in three people between the ages of 16-24 are now choosing not to drink alcohol, and spicy cocktails are set to be one of the decade’s biggest trends, according to the brand.

The brand has launched with two flavors; Zesty Lime and Tropical Mango (£15.00 RRP for a pack of six 250ml cans) and can be found in a growing number of leading shops and hospitality venues including high-end retail department store Selfridges, champion of independent produce DELLI and Renae, a top new music-led bar and venue in Manchester.

The drink is for sipping straight or as the ultimate mixer with clear spirits like vodka, tequila, gin and rum. It uses top chilli varieties to elevate the unique and unmistakable element of capsaicin. With low sugar and no artificial sweeteners, these two fiery flavors garner their sweetness from natural agave, while each drink also contains electrolytes, which support natural hydration.

Pressed is launching a new Blue Aura Energy Shot this month: a drink infused with a ‘powerful combination’ of pineapple, apple, lime, mint and blue spirulina.

The shot is designed to deliver a balanced energy experience with 100mg of caffeine, 200mg of L-theanine, and 100% of the daily vitamin C recommended intake.

The vibrant blue hue comes from the use of spirulina extract.

RTD Espresso Martini

Espresso Martini (Sabe)

California beverage brand Sabé Beverages has launched new Espresso Martini canned cocktails, available in four packs of 250ml cans at $13.99 per pack.

With the popularity of Espresso Martinis continuing to rise, this new offering makes it easier than ever for consumers to enjoy the classic cocktail without the hassle of preparing it themselves. First crafted in the 1980s, the Espresso Martini has surged in popularity in recent years. In fact, recent data shows a +116% year-over-year increase in Espresso Martini sales in US on-premise venues (Nielsen IQ).

This new offering joins the brand’s existing RTD portfolio of Margarita (14% ABV), Moscow Mule (13.1% ABV), Mojito (13.3% ABV) and Grapefruit Paloma (14% ABV).

Grape Fizz Ale

Grape Fizz Ale (New Belgium Brewing)

New Belgium Brewing Company has released its new 2025 summer seasonal, Grape Fizz Ale.

The refreshing beer is a nostalgic tribute to the grape sodas of the ’80s and ’90s, delivering a sweet blast from the past–think childhood juice boxes, but with a grown-up twist.

The fruit-forward ale blends concord grape juice and golden limes into a golden sour base for a crisp, sweet-tart finish that’s both refreshing and light.
