Tango launches latest rotational flavor, Strawberry Smash

Tango is launching its latest new ‘editions’ flavor, Strawberry Smash, an explosion of ‘great tasting strawberry and pineapple flavor’.

Previous editions of the rotational flavor series have included Tango Mango, Paradise Punch and Berry Peachy.

Ben Parker, VP Sales off-trade, Carlsberg Britvic, said: “We know how hotly anticipated the next big launch from Tango always is, and with its refreshing strawberry taste and striking pack design, we anticipate this launch being a big hit with shoppers.

“Soft drinks is a crowded but exciting category so, we know how important it is to create innovative flavours and products that will stand out in the chiller and appeal to all ages - from Gen-Z through to families. We will continue to support retailers in keeping their shoppers engaged, and we’re excited to see Tango Strawberry Smash in action this year.”

Rolling out from February, the fruit-flavored carbonate will be available for a full year. The product will be available in 330ml cans, 500ml bottles (including price-marked packs), two litre and multipack (8 or 24 cans) formats, allowing shoppers to enjoy it at home or on-the-go.

Tailored Spirits Co.

Edinburgh’s Tailored Spirits Co. has launched its first-ever whisky range under the brand name The Experimental Series.

The whisky bottler’s inaugural release aims to ‘redefine tradition’, with a belief that single cask spirits are not just about heritage, but also ‘curiosity, exploration and innovation’. The Experimental Series are one-of-a-kind micro-batch experiments, limited-edition whiskies chosen to push the boundaries of what a single cask whisky can be. The series consists of a Croftengea Loch Lomond 7-year-old costing £59.50 producing only 52 bottles, a Fettercairn 13-year-old release of 84 bottles priced at £74.50, and an Ardmore 8-year-old limited to just 60 bottles priced at £64.50 each.

The design style is inspired by travel luggage labels, provoking memories of places whisky-lovers have visited, with the bottle shape being a nod to those found in a scientific lab. A removable tab or ‘lab ticket’ containing a four-letter-code in alphabetical order per release, offers a collectors item for spirits enthusiasts to track each experiment. Customers who collect six of the The Experimental Series lab tickets will gain exclusive access to a special upcoming experimental release. Tailored Spirits Co. is a new start-up that specializes in privately owned whisky casks. After launching in 2024, it won the top spot at the Scottish Edge entrepreneurial competition, landing the business with funding of £100k.

Yellow Tail and Domino’s are also introducing the ‘Twist.Tap.Order.’ cap: dropping just in time for all February celebrations (Big Game, Valentine’s or Galentine’s Day).

Lower alcohol wine

Celtic Marches
Fruit Fusion Wine (Celtic Marches)

Herefordshire, UK independent cider makers, Celtic Marches, has launched two new fruit fusion wines, in Juicy Peach and Juicy Peach & Cherry flavors.

Premium Italian white wine is blended with natural fruit flavours to create refreshing, fruity wines that have been crafted flavor-forward.

At a lower ABV than comparable products on the market, at 5.5%, these fruit fusion wines lean into the growing demand for tasty low and no products in the UK market that don’t compromise on flavour or the drinking occasion. Both flavours can be enjoyed on their own, or in spritzes.

Susan Vaughan, Director Celtic Marches, said: “We’ve been watching the growth of fruit fusion wines in the UK carefully over the last couple of years, and felt that this year was the perfect time to launch a refined, sophisticated, fruit-forward offering. Made with premium Italian white wine, we wanted to ensure that these wines have been crafted with care and blended using the finest ingredients available.”

These fruit fusion wines will be available from Celtic Marches from mid-February, arriving just in time for Valentine’s Day celebrations, and elevated Pancake Day pairings at pocket-friendly prices. Available CelticMarches.com and independent retailers RRP £6.75 per 70cl bottle 5.5% ABV.
