Truss Beverage Co. is expanding its portfolio with 15 new cannabis beverages for summer.

The launches include a new ‘celtzer’, a cannabis-infused non-alcoholic take on the hard seltzer trend.

Consisting of summer-inspired flavors, the new products respond to consumer requests such as less sugar and more high-dose beverages (10mg of THC). In addition to launching the XMG ALT line extension in April, Truss’ new launches include:

  • Little Victory Celtzer Lime, Little Victory Celtzer Raspberry, Little Victory Sparkling Peach (the Little Victory Celtzers will be available as a Mixer 4-pack in Ontario only)
  • Bedfellows Sour Razpaartner, Bedfellows Doppelrädder, Bedfellows Passionfruit Pals
  • XMG Blue Raspberry, XMG Lemon Iced Tea
  • XMG Sodas, featuring a line-up of four popular flavours: Cream Soda, Root Beer, Orange Soda and Cola

"Consumers are looking for other adult-beverage options to alcohol, particularly for social occasions, and are turning to cannabis beverages as a great alternative,” said Dave Schlosser, President and CEO of Truss Beverage Co. “With many eager to get out and socialize this summer, this is a critical time for the category and we're excited to see where it takes the business.”

“When developing our offerings, we tapped into summer beverage trends and formats that are already familiar to consumers,” added Lori Hatcher, Head of Commercial at Truss Beverage Co. “The Little Victory Celtzer is a cannabis-infused (non-alcoholic) twist on the classic summer seltzer with zero sugar and zero calories, while the new additions to the Bedfellows portfolio were inspired by traditional radlers, pale-ales and sours, and are the first of their kind in Canada.”

Botanical water for kids

Jamu.png

UK brand Jamu Wild Water has announced its launch of three naturally flavored sparkling botanical waters for kids.

The brand, founded by two parents of young children and designed to offer health-conscious parents a no-compromise option, aims to 'encourage and inspire a love for the natural world and to boost kids’ overall health and happiness through its all-natural products and ethos'.

Knowing that children can get bored with water, Jamu Wild Water drinks contain natural botanicals and provide a gentle fizz and flavor. The products contain natural plant fiber, which is a prebiotic to help maintain gut health, and the drinks also help support the immune system with added vitamins. Each product contains 38% of the RDA for Vitamin C and Zinc, and 25% of the RDA for fiber (based on UK Government Guidelines for children aged 5-11 years). The flavors of Jamu are clean and simple with zero sugar, designed so that kids can identify the natural flavors of the fruit and appreciate them for what they are.

The drinks come in three varieties:

  • Sparkling Raspberry, Elderberry & Mallow – a ‘refreshing burst of fizz mixed with a subtle infusion of raspberries. Elderberries have been used throughout the centuries to support health in many ways and are a rich source of Vitamin C. Marshmallow Root is an important herb in Ayurvedic Medicine, traditionally used to soothe and reduce inflammation, and it’s also a prebiotic.’
  • Sparkling Blood Orange & Echinacea – ‘a zesty, bright and delicious taste. Echinacea has been used all over the world for years to support immunity and can help to relieve symptoms of cold & flu.’
  • Sparkling Lemon, Dandelion & Nettle – ‘a tangy and lively mouth-watering taste. Used traditionally to relieve inflammation, Nettle provides a variety of vitamins vital for immunity including Vitamin C, D and K. Dandelion has been used for centuries by herbalists to support the immune system and the digestive system, and it’s rich in Vitamin C and A, Potassium, Calcium and antioxidant compounds.’

Health-Ade, creators of ‘feel-good bubbly beverages with gut-health benefits’, is celebrating its 10th birthday with the limited release of Guava Dragon Fruit kombucha.

Flavored with organic, cold pressed juice from sweet guava and tart dragon fruit, the drink is available across the US from June to September.

With its beginnings at the Brentwood Farmers Market ten years ago, Health-Ade has grown into a top-selling functional beverage brand available in over 50,000 stores nationwide and with over $200M in annual retail sales.

"After ten years in business, we wanted to do something special to celebrate how far we've come," says Daina Trout, co-founder and Chief Mission Officer of Health-Ade.

"I was inspired by a recent trip to the Costa Rican rainforests where I fell in love with the delicious combination of guava and dragon fruit.  When it came time to create this celebratory flavor, we leaned into our consumer insights to make a flavor that our biggest fans would love, and I was delighted to learn that these tropical flavors are in high demand! As it turns out, cold pressed, organic guava and dragon fruit juices are the perfect complement to our tangy-sweet kombucha, and our new flavor was born.
