We take a look at some of the people taking on top jobs in the beverage industry this month.

Tropicana Brands Group

Newly-established Tropicana Brands Group has appointed Glen Walter as Chief Executive Officer, effective March 2, 2022. The company, a recently formed joint venture between PAI Partners and PepsiCo, markets, innovates, manufactures and distributes premium juice products across North America and Europe.

The joint venture was formed following PAI’s acquisition of Tropicana, Naked, KeVita, Izze and other select juice brands. The acquisition, which closed at the end of January, gives PAI a controlling stake. The company will continue to be headquartered in Chicago.

Walter joins Tropicana from Mondelez International, where he was Executive Vice President, and President, North America from 2017-2022, delivering four consecutive years of sustainable, profitable growth. He brings to the Company a 30-year track record of high performance, executional excellence, and growth mindset leadership across functions in the global food & beverage industry.

Britvic

Britvic has appointed Elly Tomlins as Chief People Officer. Joining the company from Tate & Lyle plc, Elly also joins the executive committee. 

Tomlins has extensive experience across human resources in multiple industries, most recently as Vice President of Culture & People Strategy and HR Director of Innovation & Commercial Development at Tate & Lyle plc.

Prior to this, she held key Human Resources and people roles spanning the hospitality sector, with Whitbread plc, and data-led technology, with Thompson Reuters. 

In her role as Chief People Officer at Britvic, Tomlins will be responsible for driving Britvic’s People and Culture strategy globally. As such, her expertise in developing engaging and progressive talent strategies, delivering innovative employee experiences, and building and scaling culture transformation will prove invaluable as Britvic plc continues to build a dynamic and highly connected culture of belonging, wellbeing, growth, and development.  

Constellation Brands

Constellation Brands has expanded responsibilities for Kris Carey, Senior Vice President, Human Resources. In addition to her current responsibilities as HR lead for the Beer Division, Carey will assume oversight responsibility for HR Business Partner support provided to Constellation’s Wine & Spirits Division and Corporate functions.

At Constellation, Carey has held several roles with increased levels of responsibility across the organization. Carey joined the company in 2013 as VP and Associate General Counsel for its Beer Division. Two years later, she was promoted to SVP and General Counsel for Constellation’s Beer Division and assumed responsibility as its Chief Compliance Officer. Carey has also been a key leader in Constellation’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs, and served as the company’s first Chief Diversity Officer. She joined the company’s HR team in 2019 as SVP, HR supporting its Beer Division.

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners has appointed Ana Callol as Chief Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability (PACS) Officer.
Ana is currently Vice President of PACS for CCEP’s Iberian Business Unit. Ana joined the Coca-Cola system more than 20 years ago and is an experienced leader across marketing, sales and PACS.

Her consumer and customer orientation and sustainability leadership will help CCEP accelerate its sustainability plan, This is Forward, and engage with stakeholders and employees to create a more sustainable future for the business.

Callol succeeds Lauren Sayeski, who is moving to a new role at The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta. Saveski is an experienced leader in the Coca-Cola system, and she established a strong PACS function while at CCEP. She has also been instrumental in advancing CCEP’s action on sustainability, most recently in packaging and climate.

BlueTriton Brands

BlueTriton Brands, the producer of a portfolio of regional spring water and national purified water brands, has named Javier Idrovo as Chief Financial Officer.  An experienced food and beverage executive, Idrovo joins the company, which was formerly Nestlé Waters North America.

“Since becoming an independent business last year,​ BlueTriton has made significant strides toward expanding our market leadership, driving innovation and advancing our environmental commitments,” said​ Jorge Mesquita, CEO of BlueTriton.

“As we look to build on our progress and accelerate our high-growth strategy, Javier brings extensive food and beverage experience, an impressive track record of execution and achieving results, as well as a performance-oriented mindset that is an ideal fit with our culture. We are delighted to have him lead our finance team at this exiting stage of our journey.”

Prior to joining BlueTriton, Idrovo served as Chief Financial Officer for The Hain Celestial Group, a leading organic and natural products company with operations in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. As head of Hain’s financial planning and analysis, global accounting, transactional services, tax and treasury functions, he was instrumental in the company’s recent global transformation effort. 

Before Hain, he served as Chief Accounting Officer for The Hershey Company, where he also led financial planning and analysis, strategy and business development, and played a key role in defining the iconic chocolate maker’s international and product expansion strategy. Earlier in his career he was with the Dole Food Company where he held several senior positions, including President of Dole Packaged Foods, LLC.
