The slim aluminium can features a fixed nitrogen-infused widget that mixes the cocktail instantly, delivering a multisensory experience for the consumer.

Available to buy in the UK, the range comes in four flavors; Espresso Martini, Passion fruit Martini, Amaretto Sour and on-trend Pink Gin Fizz with a silver design and bold graphics depicting the various flavours.
The Nitro Can technology was devised by Ardagh in 2016 to capitalise on the trend for nitro coffee, and with Funkin’s new range it now enters the fast-growing RTD alcoholic beverage market.
“Funkin was looking into RTD Nitro cocktails and found in Ardagh an experienced partner that was able to share experience in this field as well as to provide technical support by performing customized trials at our R&D centre in Bonn, Germany,” said Adriana Escobar, product manager, Ardagh Metal Beverage Europe.
“Nitro drinks have a great potential. We envision further growth in this category and in many other drink categories where Nitro has not been present before. Ardagh’s facilities and Nitro expertise allow to experiment into new areas and attract new customers.”

Upon opening the tab, the widget is activated, triggering an attention-grabbing ‘whoosh’ sound as micro-bubbles of nitrogen are released through the product.
All the scents, flavors and colors of a bar-made cocktail are retained during the pour, resulting in an attractive beverage with a long-lasting foam head and the smooth, velvety sensation that is normally only achieved in a traditional cocktail shaker.
The 200ml range contains real fruit and the can guarantees a stable shelf life both in refrigerated and ambient temperatures.
