Customer needs
The Mighty Society, founded in 2018, in Leeds, Yorkshire, employs 10 staff. Its goal is to promote sustainability and claims growing peas takes 100x less water than other dairy alternatives such as almonds.
“We’re delighted to see our product live on supermarket shelves, providing consumers with a delicious alternative to milk,” said Nick Watkins, co-founder, The Mighty Society.
“We’ve worked hard to develop a product that is beneficial for the consumer, but also for the planet. It also tastes great.”
Rachel Eyre, head, Future Brands, Sainsbury’s, said it is always looking for exciting new brands and products that appeal to growing customer needs and lifestyle choices.
“We’re really excited about launching The Mighty Society and it joining the Future Brands program. We believe our customers will enjoy this great-tasting, plant based milk alternative.”
