The technology can help consumers learn more about the wine selection available to them, explains Sajith Wimalaratne, head of food and beverage development, Cambridge Consultants.
“The reason we did this is because wine is a very complex beverage, not everyone understands it. Consumers are just sticking to one or two wines that they know, not trying the amazing range of wines out there. So we want to see how technology can close that gap.”
