Arol opens US HQ as part of global expansion

Arol North America, part of Arol Group, has opened a HQ in Buford, Georgia.

The facility also includes sales and after sales support and training to US customers.

Unimac-Gherri

The company designs, produces and distributes capping and corking systems based in Canelli, Italy, for the food and beverage sector, among others.

The expansion is ‘another step in the growth of the AROL Group’, which includes the acquisition of Unimac-Gherri in July, according to Alberto Cirio, CEO, Arol.

Unimac-Gherri is an italian manufacturer of food product packaging equipment and twist-off closures for glass containers. 

Arol North America will manage sales, service and installation of Unimac-Gherri’s capping systems on an exclusive basis within the North American territory, increasing its portfolio which already includes feeding, sorting, capping and inspection systems. 

Thanks to the integration in AROL, we will be able to expand our commercial presence and after-sales support all over the world​,” said Renzo Tavaroli, CEO, Unimac-Gherri.  

Digital transformaiton

We also plan to develop our systems and implement the digital transformation as required by the latest packaging technology​.”

The facility in Georgia includes a manufacturing plant focused on designing and producing specific models dedicated to the US markets: mechanical elevators, waterfall sorters and change parts for all Arol models.

Arol designs technology for food, beverage, wine & spirits. It manufactures over 700 closing systems and more than 500 control systems a year, with over 26.000 machines installed in the world.
