Bai Brands has unveiled Bai Black, a line of carbonated beverages without sugar or artificial sweeteners.

The drinks - Kohala Kola, Simbu Citrus, Rioja Root Beer, Jambi Ginger Ale and Colombia Cream – are sweetened with the ‘Bai Proprietary Sweetener Blend’ (erythritol and stevia leaf extract).

Bai Black flavors are made from ingredients such as natural cola, vanilla and sassafras.  As with all Bai products, the new range is infused with antioxidants from the coffeefruit.

Each can of Bai Black contains five calories, zero grams of sugar and no artificial sweeteners. The beverages also contain about the same amount of caffeine as a cup of green tea.

Ben Weiss, Bai founder and CEO, said: “With Bai Black, we're reinventing the way classic flavors can be consumed. We've created a product that satisfies soda lovers' desire for bold, delicious flavor without the guilt."

Bai Black will be available throughout the US in single 11.5 fl oz. cans from January 2017 with a suggested retail price of $1.99. Bai Black is non-GMO certified, gluten free, kosher, vegan and soy free.

Bai Brands’ other beverages include Bai, Bai Bubbles and Antiwater. It was named one of Inc.'s 500 fastest-growing private companies in 2014, as well as one of America's 20 Most Promising Companies by Forbes in 2015, and has attracted investment from Dr Pepper Snapple Group.
