The 'If Carlsberg did...' campaign has turned to chocolate...
Carlsberg UK has created a pop-up bar in London made entirely from chocolate, coinciding with the Easter holiday weekend.

The pop-up is a fully functioning, three-meter deep bar, which mimics features commonly found in traditional British pubs, but in chocolate.

For example, the bar includes a handcrafted chocolate dartboard, chocolate stools, and a chocolate television screen which screens highlights from England’s World Cup performance.

The bar is attached to the Truman Brewery in Shoreditch. You can watch it being unveiled in the video below.

Visitors are welcome to enjoy a complimentary half-pint of Carlsberg, served in a Carlsberg-engraved milk chocolate glass.

It took around three months to create the bar, using almost half a tonne of chocolate.

Chocolate sculptor and food artist Prudence Staite worked with Carlsberg on the design.

The UK enjoys a four day bank holiday weekend for Easter. Dharmesh Rana, senior brand manager at Carlsberg UK, said Easter is usually a big beer drinking occasion for the brewer's consumers.

"This year, we wanted to do something a bit different. We know the British public love beer and chocolate, so we’re delighted to bring them together to create probably the best bar there could be."

Last year Carlsberg relaunched its ‘If Carlsberg did…’ advertizing platform with a modern twist, which the brewer says is aimed at “revitalising the clever sense of humor that the beer brand is famous for.”
