JBT to broaden its aseptic line for dairy and juices
JBT Corporation has broadened its aseptic line for dairy and juices from primary processing, in flow sterilization over aseptic bottle blow molder to aseptic filling, following its Stork Food & Dairy acquisition.

Netherlands-based Stork Food & Dairy Systems ​became part of JBT in August this year and designs, manufactures and supplies integrated aseptic processing and sterilization technologies, and filling systems, to beverage and food processing companies worldwide. 

Flavored milk, coffee drinks, cream, yogurt, desserts

It also specializes in extending the shelf life of packaged foods found in supermarkets and restaurants, including standard and flavored milk, coffee drinks, cream, yogurt, desserts, fruit juices, soups and sauces. 

Carlos Saavedra, global marketing manager, Liquid Food Solutions, JBT, told BeverageDaily, the acquisition will enlarge the preservation technology it can offer including: UHT processing, aseptic filling and ESL processing.

It means JBT can now offer a comprehensive extended shelf life portfolio for dairy and juice products,”​ he said.

The last six months at JBT have seen a whirlwind of activity as we have undertaken an internal reorganization and integration of two of our traditional business units (Preservation Solutions and Fruit & Juice Solutions) as well as closing on two acquisitions of two independent companies (Stork Food & Dairy Systems and A&B Process Systems)​.

By combining and integrating these capabilities and resources, JBT now has a more complete and compelling product offering for the global food and beverage market​.”

Saavedra added the business is now undergoing an assessment of how best to deploy its resources.

Integrating and streamlining our business processes will take precedence as we build our Liquid Food business​,” he said.

JBT used the recent HOST trade fair in Milan to launch branding for its Fresh’n Squeeze juicer range and a prototype of the Multi Fruit Juicer, a system that has been designed to produce up to 100 litres of high-grade fruit juice per hour.

It claims the Fresh’n Squeeze juicer range produces the highest yielding juice currently available for the foodservice industry, with the lowest levels of citrus peel oil of any system of its type.

It also produces the Fresh’n Squeeze Produce Plus Juicer, a machine with a large capacity for producing smoothies and fresh vegetable juices. 

Gulfood Manufacturing, Dubai

The company also exhibited at Gulfood Manufacturing in Dubai (October 27-29)showcasing all its business units active in food processing – including in-container filling, closing, sterilization, and fruit and juice processing.
