AB InBev buys Golden Road Brewing, applauding ‘awesome portfolio’ of craft beers
Anheuser-Busch InBev is buying Golden Road Brewing, pointing to its ‘awesome portfolio’ of beers, the culture and passion for the beer, and its growth and achievements in Los Angeles as reasons for the partnership.

Founded in 2011 by Meg Gill and Tony Yanow, the beer is brewed and canned in Los Angeles.

Core products include Point the Way IPA, Golden Road Hefeweizen, Get Up Offa That Brown and Wolf Among Weeds IPA.

In addition, it experiments with seasonal and limited edition brews like the Custom IPA Series.

Following the announcement, the brewer responded to fans on twitter saying: ‘Nothing will change!’ and ‘We still believe in LA and are here to stay.”

Gill said the deal meant ‘business as usual but amplified’ for the company.

It is AB InBev’s fifth craft beer acquisition since 2011, when it bought Goose Island.

Earlier this month Heineken acquired a 50% shareholding in Lagunitas Brewing Co, a Californian brewer founded in 1993.

In the same week, MillerCoors’s craft division, Tenth and Blake, acquired a majority interest in San Diego’s Saint Archer Brewing Company.
