H.I.G. Europe (H.I.G.), the European arm of private equity firm H.I.G. Capital, has sold AR Metallizing (ARM) to Nissha Printing Co.(Nissha).

ARM manufactures metallized paper for the food, beverage and consumer packaging goods industries from three factories in Belgium, Italy and the US.

Nissha is the right strategic partner for ARM and will enable it to fully capitalise on substantial global growth opportunities,” said Mark Kelly, MD, H.I.G. Capital.

H.I.G. acquired ARM in September 2012 and shortly thereafter the assets of Vacumet Paper to create the manufacturer of metallized paper.

Since the acquisition, H.I.G. and the founding ARM shareholders have assisted with the integration of the acquired assets, invested heavily to expand operations in South America and furthered new product development with the launch of metallized products for the consumer packaged goods markets.
