Peacock Engineering acquires L&L Foods
Peacock Engineering, based in Geneva, has acquired L&L Foods, an Anaheim, California-based business specializing in portion control packaging.

Peacock, which operates five manufacturing facilities and has been in business since 1942, acquired L&L from CIC Partners, a middle-market private equity firm based in Dallas.

According to the seller, L&L’s products are primarily used in prepared salad packages and in food-away-from-home venues, such as quick-serve restaurants, cash-and-carry outlets and airlines.

Other L&L products include portion control packaging for salad dressings and toppings, oatmeal toppings, granola and parfaits, cheese, croutons, nuts, tortilla chips, spice blends, dried fruits and a wide variety of blended products.

John Pooley, founder/CEO, L&L, will continue to lead the business.

Peacock specializes in refrigerated, frozen and shelf-stable primary processing and packaging. The company also offers secondary packaging and packaging-related services — project management, process engineering and supply chain management.
