Food safety is an issue that is getting more attention, according to Twentebelt.

The firm said they are looking at how they can improve their products and create new conveyor belt configurations to keep on top of the issue.

The design of the TwenteFlex belt has the crossrod bent instead of being welded, which helps to prevent problems such as weld breakage and sharp welds that can damage the vertical drum profiles.

TwenteFlex conveyor belts are suitable for food contact applications such as proofing, cooling, freezing, steam cooking, pasteurization and sterilization.

The basic version is manufactured from stainless steel and the hybrid belt is stainless steel and modules of Acetal (POM).

Belts are designed blue so industry can detect any anomalies in the production process and take the necessary steps to prevent problems and costly downtime, said the firm.
