Siemens Industry has won its biggest ever order for training services for €1m from the Industry and Education Ministry of the Indian State of Gujarat.

As part of the deal, Siemens will set up training centers based at five universities across the country offering students of engineering access to Siemens PLM software including NX Software, Teamcenter and Technomatix, numeric controllers (CNC) and industrial robots to programmable logic controllers (PLC).

The company will also supply industrial equipment and software, which is used in automotive production, industrial machinery, industrial automation, aviation and shipbuilding.

The centers are being set up to strengthen the industrial engineering know-how in Gujarat and boost the state’s future industrial development. Gujarat is one of the regions that drive India‘s economic growth. About 20% of Indian exports are produced here.
