Huhtamaki acquires BCP Fluted Packaging
Huhtamaki has acquired BCP Fluted Packaging for €20m in the UK.
The company, which employs 120 people, specializes in corrugated packaging for the food service, confectionery and cosmetics markets and is based in Blackburn, Lancashire.
Jukka Moisio, CEO, Huhtamäki Oyj said BCP's corrugated food-to-go products will complement its existing range of food service.
"We are pleased to continue strengthening our position with this targeted acquisition," he added.
The company will be renamed Huhtamaki BCP and will become part of Huhtamaki's Foodservice Europe-Asia-Oceania business.
The acquisition is expected to be completed by 2014.
The net sales of the acquired business during financial year 2012-2013 was approximately €18m.
