Samuel Adams lights up cigar market with 28% ABV beer variety
Samuel Adams has launched the world’s first ever cigar seasoned with beer – notably its special edition 28% ABV Utopia brew that is finished in port and single-use bourbon casks.
The cigars contain tobacco from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Brazil, and are targeted at the Christmas gift market, since they will only be on sale at Ted’s Cigars and select locations during November and December. A box of 25 cigars (pictured) will set you back $275.
Ted Jackson, president, Ted’s Cigars, says: “Cigars and craft beer – particularly a complex brew like Utopias, have more in common than most people would imagine and complement each other quite well.
“Aficionados of both cigars and beer know that subtle flavors and delicate touches can elevate the drinking or smoking experience tenfold,” he adds.
