Food processing and machinery specialist Alfa Laval has won an order to supply an 'integrated beer cellar' to a brewery in Indonesia, in a transaction that the Swedish firm said was worth around €5.6m, as it pointed to 'favourable growth' in that market.

Scheduled for delivery this year, the SEK 50m deal involves solutions for the different steps in the beer-making process such as fermentation, cooling, filtration, blending and storage.
The order includes several Alfa Laval heat exchangers and fluid handling components such as pumps, valves, filters, mixers, tank equipment, and Alfa Laval's new eDrive high speed separator. In addition, the purchase includes brewery process modules, instrumentation and engineering.

“We have a strong position in the global brewery market where we provide everything from products to systems for new breweries, and the Indonesian market continuous to develop in a very favorable way for Alfa Laval”, says Lars Renström, President and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group.
