Krones has unveiled a new strap handle at Interpack in Dusseldorf that wraps around PET containers so that bottles can be held together without shrink film.

At the company stand, Krones used a pack of six water bottles to explain how the new LitePac product works and what it can offer beverage makers.

Product manager Dionys Eberhardt explained on camera that bypassing the need for shrink film results in significant energy and therefore cost savings. Krones claimed that compared to shrink film some estimates suggest users can cut costs by more than 50 per cent.

To begin using Litepack, manufacturers must invest in the Evolite packer, which is the specialist machine that applies the strapping to PET bottles.

New Krones strapping aims to replace shrink films

Posted by René Urrea,

This product is interesting. I would like to know the price of the machine and the price of the strapping per pachage of 12 botles of 1,000 ml. We need to know your plan to resolve the system storage and transportation. Thanks
