Ball expands US production of aluminum bottle
Ball Corporation is expanding production of its Alumi-Tek aluminum bottle to meet growing demand in North America.

Its Monticello plant in Indiana has been producing the reclosable, recyclable bottles for beverage customers since 2006. Now Ball is planning to use available space at its Golden packaging facility in Colorado to up production of the bottle.

Production at the factory is expected to begin in the second half of 2011.

Michael L. Hranicka, a Ball metal packaging executive, said: “The commercial success of our Alumi-Tek bottle as a value-added package for premium beverages continues to drive volume for Ball.”
