A new blow-moulding machine is designed with a modular oven, whose
length can be adjusted to the space available in a plant.

Germany-based Krones said its Contiform S14 stretch blow-moulding machine will allow companies more flexibility in how they plan their bottle filling lines. The machine is designed for polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle blow moulding. Krones plans to present the machine at K 2007, a trade fair for plastic and rubber, to be held in Düsseldorf from 24 to 31 October 2007, Krones plans to showcase some options for saving energy with the machine, including the PETView inspection module. The module is used for direct process monitoring of PET bottle production. Krones will also show its closed PET circuit, which deals with bottle design and recycling. The showroom will also provide information on possible upgrades for the blow-moulder, such as quick-change systems for moulds and stretching rod. Currently the Contiform is being used by a water-bottler in Indonesia.
