Heineken has taken back its Amstel beer brand in South Africa,
leaving previous licence owner and rival brewer, SABMiller, facing
an uphill struggle to maintain sales in the country.
China, South America and Europe combined to offset disappointing
performances in North America and South Africa during brewer
SABMiller's third quarter.
More disappointment in the mainstream US beer sector was offset by
the World Cup effect in Europe and continued gains in emerging
markets, brewer SABMiller has announced.
