Heineken launches home keg system

Heineken has joined forces with Groupe SEB to produce a draught
beer system that can be used in consumer homes. The Beer Tender
consists of an appliance and keg whcih is said to be compact and
very easy to use.

The system delivers high quality beer for regular home consumption, says the company. It is available in a 4 litre keg and the company claims that it is the first kind that allows consumers to enjoy a perfect pint of Heineken in the comfort of their own home.

Group SEB is responsible for the production, marketing and development of Beer Tender appliances while Heineken is responsible for the design of the kegs.

Heineken is the world's most international brewer and Group SEB claims to be a world leader in small domestic equipment. The companies believe that the venture is perfect for the industry.

"Innovation brings growth to the Heineken brand. Beer Tender is aimed to do just that. It offers the real draught beer experience at the consumer's home,"​ says Thony Ruys, chairman of the executive board at Heineken.

We are convinced of the success of the Beer Tender system, a joint alliance of innovation in small domestic appliances and the know-how of the most famous brewer, said Thierry de La Toor d'Artaise, chairman of the executive board of group SEB.
