The Swedish multi-national engineering group Alfa Laval is to premiere its ALDOX-HGB process module along with a number of new products and applications for the brewing and beverage industries at the BRAU Bevaile exhibition in Nuremburg this November.

"The ready-to-plug-in ALDOX-HGB skid will be able to offer the complete high gravity brewing step in one operation," said an Alfa Laval spokesperson.

Based on the already known ALDOX - sold worldwide - the new unit is designed for the production of deaerated and carbonated high-quality water for breweries and soft drink manufacturers.

The theme of the firm's stand at the BRAU Bevaile exhibition in Germany is 'Brewing the Alfa Laval Way' and will present new products such as the SRC valve, the Toftejorg tank cleaning product range, the M15B heat exchanger and the SolidC series centrifugal pumps, a new range for standard sanitary duties.

"We expect that the new pump will become the new global market standard for standard duty pumps," said the spokesperson.

The company with a new focus area within membrane filtration technology and applications for brewing low alcohol beer has set up its first industrial beer filtration plant installed in the Mediterranean after a co-operation with the German membrane producer Sartorius on cross-flow beer filtration.

Alpha Laval is a leading global provider of specialised products and engineered solutions. Listed on the Stockholm Exchange its approximate 2002 annual sales were SEK 14.6 billion.
