NovaSync, a mobile solutions provider serving the beverage industry, has announced that US company Polar Beverages has just completed the roll-out of Sales Ranger, NovaSync's palm-based sales force automation application throughout its 125 member route sales force.

Polar the second largest independent soft drink bottling company in the US, currently has over 1,000 inventory items (SKUs), each with multi-level pricing, in its product portfolio. Sales Ranger, which can be used on either palm or windows CE devices will, in this case, run on the palm-based Symbol 1800 handheld computer.

"Because we have so many SKUs, custom functionality and reasonable response time when querying the inventory database were critical issues for us," said Paul Paciello, director of technology for Polar Beverage.

" At first, we were concerned about working with a small company, but NovaSync provided unmatched personal service, superior programming expertise and a real understanding of the challenges faced by the beverage industry. We're looking forward to a long relationship with them."

NovaSync specialises in developing customised front-end mobile applications that can be integrated into most existing back-end enterprise systems. In addition to Sales Ranger, the NovaSync suite of turnkey mobile solutions for the food and beverage industries includes Route Ranger, Service Ranger and Mobile Merchandiser.
