Fruity distribution deal agreed

The Beverage Group has been appointed by Bottle Green Drinks Company to distribute the company's line of Bottle Green Fruit Sodas and Presse fruit drinks.

US-based firm The Beverage Group, part of Amcon Distributing Company, has been appointed by Bottle Green Drinks Company to distribute the company's line of Bottle Green Fruit Sodas and Presse fruit drinks in the United States.

"This is a unique opportunity to market a premium line of organic fruit sodas and non-alcoholic fruit cordials," said Stephen Sparks, president and CEO of The Beverage Group. "We believe US consumers will welcome a flavourful and refreshing line of sodas and fruit drinks made without artificial flavours, colours, sweeteners or preservatives."

Bottle Green certified organic fruit sodas are lightly carbonated and flavoured with pressed fruit. They are caffeine and sodium free. Presse is a line of non-alcoholic fruit cordials made with carbonated spring water.

"Bottle Green Drinks are as much about taste as they are about appearance," said Andrew James, president of Canadian-based Bottle Green Drinks.

"They are popular in Canada due to the premium ingredients sourced from around the world and the natural process of combining carbonated spring water and pressed fruit. We believe these products will also be a hit with US consumers. We believe our partnership with The Beverage Group will enable us to successfully bring these products to the US market."

The Beverage Group plans to distribute Bottle Green and Presse products through natural food retailers and speciality retailers.

The Beverage Group markets a portfolio of beverage brands in the rapidly-growing premium beverage segment through traditional channels of distribution including major grocery chains and convenience stores. The group is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amcon Distributing Company, an $800 million (€679.5m) consumer products distribution company that serves over 7,500 stores.
