German company Gneuss claims that its latest Rotary filtration system, used to improve the quality of PET bottles, has made its mark with manufacturers in Europe.

The filtration system is being used in the processing of PET bottle flakes. It is used to remove large quantities of foreign particles from the melt to avoid the degradation of the polymer, which can lead to quality problems with regard the colour and mechanical properties of the sheet.

The RSFgenius system is used in the processing of PET bottle flakes into sheet to maintain consistency, purity, minimum film thickness and dwell time.

Gneuss says that since the filtration technology was launched last year, it has now fitted more than 50 systems, mainly in the European market.

Parallel to the development, design and realisation of filtration systems for processing PET flakes into sheets for bottling, Gneuß is also active in other of PET processing including the filtration of PET bottle flakes into fibres - currently one of the fastest-growing areas for the company.

The family-owned and German based Gneuss company specializes in the development, manufacture and sales of filtration systems for plastic melts as well as transducers for melt pressure and temperature measurements.
