'Drinktec 2013 is buzzing': Munich boss hails show success
Drinktec 2013 exhibition director, Petra Westphal, tells us why the show - which happens every four years - is a shining star in the beverage and liquid food firmament, as a place to do business and a family gathering...
"Drinktec certainly has a very long history - it goes back to the year 1951," she tells Ben Bouckley, during this exclusive video interview taken on the third day of the show.
"Back then it was a show for the beer industry only, and ever since then we have developed it into the world-leading show for the entire beverage and liquid food industry," Westphal tells BeverageDaily.com
Show organisers Messe München developed the show concept over the years in response to changing market and consumer needs, she says.
Today, they travel the world, meeting people globally within the beverage community to ensure that the show is as international as possible, Westphal adds.
