VIRUN since have developed over 50 product concentrates that allow difficult-to-dissolve, fortifiable ingredients into food and beverage applications that are associated with efficacious health claims, such as, Omega-3 EPA DHA, Omega-3 DHA vegetarian source and CoQ10 for Cardiovascular support and Heart Health.  Other fatty acids or triglyceride include Omega-6 Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) for weight management and body fat reduction. Included in the health claims for food and beverage applications are new “energy” claims associated with CoQ10 for increase in energy and Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT’s) which have been shown to increase absorption and better assimilate fat into energy than other sources of fat.  In addition, VIRUN has patented novel compositions that allow for such claims as improved cognitive support and brain development in children.  These new and next-generation claims- are the result of combining VIRUN’s encapsulation technologies with omega-3 DHA due to the fact DHA is an essential fatty acid necessary for brain development and cognitive function.  Synergistically, PQQ (Pyrroloquinoline Quinone) has been shown to reduce Beta-Amyloid- production (Beta-Amyloid plaque leads to dementia and Alzheimer’s).  VIRUN has developed and patented a composition that encapsulates non-disodium salt version of PQQ that is more readily absorbed and more bio identical to the natural PQQ found in the body.  Lastly, in additional cognitive ingredient, VIRUN has patented a composition encapsulating Phosphatidylserine (PS).  PS is a natural lipid shown to improve cognitive support and of which is a naturally occurring lipid necessary for brain function.  Aside from cognitive function, other novel and niche claims have also surfaced.  For example, Resveratrol has been shown to better regulate blood sugar and has been associated with a reduced risk of type 2 diabetes of which can be easily fortified into functional beverages and food products utilizing VIRUN technologies.  Above all, VIRUN began branding a line of Omega-3 products dubbed, OmegaH2O®.  This brand includes liquid and powdered concentrates that can be used in clear functional waters, juices to stick-packs (water soluble powders in a convenient single-serving pouch).  The OmegaH2O brand quickly became known as the main source for water soluble Omega-3 EPA DHA.  VIRUN quickly became known as the “Delivery Experts” and “Omega-3 Delivery Experts”(source: Nutra Ingredients, Delivery expert Virun introduces Nutra-BIOsciences™ platform to accelerate expansion.
