‘Flowing with purpose’ is the theme for the 2017 Global Bottled Water Congress on 23rd to 25th October in Barcelona. Now in its 14th year, the event will provide updates and insights on the world’s fastest growing beverage category.
Bringing together world market leaders and cutting edge innovators alongside industry advisers, the Congress programme features:
- top global businesses including Nestlé and Coca-Cola
- key international exporters such as Ferrarelle, Icelandic Glacial and Voss
- numerous innovators from 100% bio-based plastic and edible packaging to kids’ water and added functionality
- the 2017 Global Bottled Water Awards at a gala dinner on 24th October.
“With bottled water growth now outpacing other beverages, an exciting range of emerging categories are actively promoting water attributes,” commented Richard Hall, Chairman of Zenith, the global food and drink experts organising the event. “But there are multiple risks if innovation is not transparent about naturalness, sweetness, functionality, sustainability and social responsibility. Consumers really want water to be ‘flowing with purpose’.
“As one of the world’s most vibrant and popular destinations, Barcelona is an excellent location for this year’s Congress,” Richard Hall added. “The event will also provide a timely forum for collective industry discussion on tackling key action priorities such as consumer health and sustainability.”
The 2017 Global Bottled Water Congress is supported by leading industry suppliers including gold sponsors Bericap and Polyone ColorMatrix, silver sponsors Sidel and Tetra Pak and with additional sponsorship from AF Compressors, AGR, Demo, G02Life and Water.IO.
