Fogg improves automated cap chute changeover
US manufacturer of rotary filling systems for the liquids industry, Fogg Filler, has created the option for an automated chute changeover for different caps.
Change over between caps on production lines can be dangerous and time consuming, the company said.
“If you don't have room in your facility or are unable to spare the expense for a platform, employees may be forced to climb up on ladders and manually handle any chute change overs,” the company said.
“This adds extra time to the daily routine as well as a risk factor with using a ladder on a potentially wet or uneven floor. Fogg has engineered and created an alternative to this manual change over. You can now pick your cap on the HMI and pneumatic cylinders will extend or contract, pushing plates to allow access for only the correct cap. This option may be available on new machines or as a retrofit to your current machine.”
