'The value is returned many times over'
Of the 30 or so companies that Bybi has worked with so far, which includes several multinationals such as Carlsberg, L’Oréal and energy giant Dong Energy, only one has ended the contract.
Bybi offers different pricing packages depending on the size of the firm with the top package around 50,000 DKK (€6,700) a year.
This package sees hives placed on the company’s premises as well as different events for its staff, from helping to harvest the honey, taking part in processing workshops and doing tasting tours.
"The issue of course is price – getting them to pay for it – but those who do pay see the value returned many times over,” Maxwell said.
