Asia Pacific: Swashbuckling Captain Morgan
Net sales in Australia were up 2%, reversing a decline in the first half of the year. The star of the show was spiced rum Captain Morgan, whose net sales grew nearly 50%, making it the second largest rum brand in the country behind Diageo’s Bundaberg.
Mainland China saw net sales up 26%, thanks to super premium baijiu brand Shui Jing Fang. Taiwan net sales increased 6%, thanks to malt scotch whisky The Singleton, while Greater China sales were up 15%.
