Mondelēz International turns over $35bn, but sometimes slips beneath the beverage radar beyond the Americas on occasion, perhaps due to its strength in confectionery and snacks.
Nonetheless, the firm is a coffee powerhouse (Kenco, Carte Noire, Jacobs, Gevalia, Grand Mere) and owns major powdered juice drink Tang.
Tang was the world’s fourth largest global beverage brand in Kantar Worldpanel’s 2013 rankings, and was chosen by 948m Latin American consumers (it is unknown elsewhere) in 2012.
Mondelēz rose up the Forbes rankings to #52 overall, from #63 in 2012.
