US Coke bottler expands

Midwest Coca-Cola Bottling Company, a US marketer and distributor
of Coca-Cola products, has announced it has completed the
acquisition of the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Austin and
Rochester.

Midwest Coca-Cola Bottling Company, a US marketer and distributor of Coca-Cola products, has announced it has completed the acquisition of the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Austin and Rochester.

"This acquisition expands our ability to serve the upper Midwest market, enabling us to provide our customers and consumers with additional promotional and marketing support,"​ said Jeff Laschen, vice president and general manager, Midwest Coca-Cola Bottling Company.

"We look forward to meeting and working with the current employees and are excited to become a part of the Austin and Rochester communities."

The Austin Bottling Company was founded in 1924 by George Wilson and first moved into the current facility in 1947. In 1957, the Wilson family purchased the Rochester franchise and combined forces to become the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Austin and Rochester.

The Midwest Coca-Cola Bottling Company is the bottler and distributor for products of The Coca-Cola Company for much of Minnesota, North Dakota and Iowa, and portions of South Dakota and Western Wisconsin.
